On October 3, Olivier Becht, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will attend the 37th session of the Assembly of French Nationals Abroad (AFE), meeting from October 3-7 at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs' Ministerial Conference Center. He will speak at the opening of the session, offering an assessment of the changes that have taken place since the Assembly's last session in March 2022 ? particularly the modernization of services ? and will address the prospects for assisting French nationals abroad.
During the week, the Assembly ? presided over by Hélène Degryse, an elected official from the Benelux district ? will continue its committee work on issues affecting French nationals abroad and will adopt resolutions taking into account their concerns and constraints. It will also adopt definitive rules of procedure.
