Bulgaria - Visit by M. Clément Beaune (21 Dec. 2021)

M. Clément Beaune, Minister of State for European Affairs, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is visiting Bulgaria today.

The Minister of State will have a meeting with Mr Rumen Radev, President of Bulgaria, Mr Kiril Petkov, Prime Minister, and Ms Teodora Genchovska, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

With his interlocutors, Clément Beaune will discuss the priorities of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union, which begins on 1 January 2022. Among other things, he will speak about Defence Europe, the social agenda, the climate, digital technology and the rule of law.

The Minister of State will pay tribute to the dynamism and trust in our bilateral relationship and emphasize his commitment to continuing close cooperation, bilaterally and within the European Union.

Clément Beaune will talk to representatives of civil society and of centres for research on the European Union, in the context of the Conference on the Future of Europe and in the run-up to the French presidency of the Council of the European Union.
